Regenerative Leadership: Full Moon in Aries

Musing for the
Full Moon in Aries

The Emperor IV as associated with Aries is seen as an authoritative figure in the Tarot. Through the degenerative lens he is a tyrant, autocrat and bully who will do anything for power, even if it means he stands lonely in his castle. It is through the degenerative form of Justice XI / Libra, that he exercises power. Punitive justice models that threaten livelihood, bodies, minds and hearts with weapons and extraction economic models. Methods that break the spirit and destroy the land. This is the modus of the past and the final breaths of the current political and economic systems.

What does a regenerative Emperor look like? Under the light of this Full Moon in Aries, we are offered a view into the world we dream of seeing as we work our way through the chaos.

A Regenerative Emperor looks like one who does not need your votes for power. They do not lobby and beg for a few billionaires to fund their efforts of mass destruction. A Regenerative Emperor would not place human life over temporal, dwindling and destructive resources. They would not sacrifice the land for harmful monocrops. They would not allow share holders to bank off the war machine. A Regenerative Emperor isn’t a sexual predator, nor a puppet of a punitive system. A Regenerative Emperor steps back and shares the load with the humans on the ground. They ask what do you need and how can I help make that happen. They dissolve authority for collective decision making. They actually represent people and the land without asking for a bonus to benefit corporate interests…

As we walk through this world, we need to turn to a new types of leaders and teachers. Not ones that pit one group of humans against another, but ones that are humble, graceful, open, accepting and mindful. The strongest leaders/teachers empower through creating a mutually beneficial and reciprocal dialog, where the leader/teacher plays a simultaneously active role as acolyte/student. Leadership is an evolving experience, new roles are developed, old roles relinquished, directions change and ideas emerge as we receive feedback from each project and with each student.

With this Full Moon in Aries, we call upon each of you reading this to reflect and take conscious steps on the path of the graceful and peaceful warrior. We must support each other, guide and be guided, hold and nurture each other. This is how we need to behave in order to survive.

The Sacred Balance: Justice & Libra

“The way we see the world shapes the way we treat it. If we regard a mountain as a deity rather than a pile of ore, a forest as a sacred grove rather than lumber and pulp, other species as our biological kin rather than resources, the planet as our mother and life-giver and not an opportunity, then our actions will reflect far greater humility, respect and responsibility.” The Sacred Balance by David Suzuki Musing for this New Moon in Libra We are meant to change and shift, life is set up...
